　　Step 9,2011 Sunday Today my classmates and I went to the Old Peoples Home on foot at 3 oclock in the afternoon. As soon as we got there, we began to clean the rooms and wash clothes for the old people. Some of us talked with them. After that we gave them some performances. The old people enjoyed themselves very much. We stayed there for two hours. At about 5 oclock we walked home. I felt very happy (for what I had done) although I was tired. I think everyone should look after and respect old people.

　　Our class had already planned to go to Handian Nursing Home to visit those old people living there . We were all eager to go there as soon as we can. And today this time really came, so you could image how happy we were. At about 8:00 in the morning , with tools in hands, we went out of our school towards the Handian Nursing Home

　　It was about 9:00 when we arrived there. Though we were a little tired, none of us wanted to have a rest. As some of those old people seldom came out, so some of us helped them walk around to breathe the fresh air. Some help them to wash their clothes, and the others swept the ground. Most of us never do such things at home, so we maybe didn’t do these well, but we all tried our best. At about 11:55,we had lunch with them, and our monitor stood for us to bless them devoutly. During the lunch time, we were all very happy. After lunch, we had a party with those old people. Before we came here, we had already prepared some songs for them. As we expected, they all felt great pleased with our programs. Though maybe we didn’t performed well, the smile on their faces made us very happy.

　　Happy time always goes fast. Though we didn’t notice that we had stayed here for a long time, the clock on the wall informed us clearly that it was time for us to go home. So we had to say good bye to those old people. On the way home, we all said this was really a signnificant day, and we decided to come back again whenever we had time.

Li yue and Zhang hua were warmly welcomed,and respectfully, they presented the elderly with fruits and flowers.Then they started working at once,cleaning the windows and sweeping the floor. Everything done. they sat in the yard chatting with the elderly people.

　　When it was time for the volunteers to leave. the elderly people thanked them for their kindness. They said it was such a beautiful day that they would remember it forever.

　　Thank you for your last E-mail. Let me tell you what we did on 5th March.

　　As a member of volunteers, I got up early because I was too excited to sleep. In the morning, we volunteers brought some flowers and fresh fruit. As we arrived at the Happiness Nursing Home, we sent them our best wishes too. How happy they were!

　　Then we cleaned the windows and swept the floor for them. After that, some of us performed activities for them, such as singing songs and dancing. Some of us read newspaper for them. Some of us chatted with them. When it was time for us volunteers to leave, they were grateful for our kindness.

　　From this meaningful activity, I found that we are supposed to care for the old and respect them. In our daily life, we should offer our seats to them on buses. And we should treat our own grandparents more kindly.
