My First Day in a New School

Today was my first day in a new school. I felt both excited and nervous as I walked through the school gates. Everything was unfamiliar to me, and I didn't know anyone there.

As I entered the classroom, I looked around and found an empty seat at the back. I sat down and observed my new classmates. They were all busy chatting and laughing with their friends. I wished I had a friend too.

The teacher entered the classroom and introduced me to the class. She asked me to stand up and say a few words about myself. My heart was pounding in my chest as I stood up and introduced myself. I could feel all eyes on me, and I stumbled over my words. However, everyone was kind and welcoming, which made me feel more at ease.

During the break, a girl named Lily approached me and asked if I wanted to join her and her friends for lunch. I gladly accepted her invitation. We sat together and chatted about our hobbies and interests. It was a relief to finally have someone to talk to.

In the afternoon, we had different subjects, and I was assigned a buddy named John to show me around the school. He was friendly and helpful, guiding me to the different classrooms and facilities. I was grateful for his assistance, as it made navigating the school much easier.

By the end of the day, I had made a few more friends and felt more comfortable in my new school. Although it was challenging to adjust to a new environment, I realized that everyone was in the same boat. We were all trying to make new friends and fit in.

I am looking forward to the days ahead, as I know that with time, I will become more familiar with my new school and make even more friends. Today was a great start to my new journey, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

A Memorable Trip to the Beach

Last weekend, my family and I went on a memorable trip to the beach. It was a sunny day with clear blue skies, perfect for a day at the seaside.

We packed our bags with beach towels, sunscreen, and snacks, and set off early in the morning. The drive to the beach was long, but the anticipation made it seem shorter. As we arrived, the sound of crashing waves and the salty smell of the ocean filled the air. I couldn't wait to dive into the water.

We found a spot on the sandy beach and set up our umbrella. I ran towards the water, feeling the coolness of the waves as they washed over my feet. The water was crystal clear, and I could see small fish swimming around. I spent hours playing in the water, building sandcastles, and collecting seashells.

After a fun-filled morning in the water, we enjoyed a picnic lunch under the shade of the umbrella. We ate sandwiches and fruits, savoring the taste of the salty sea air. The sound of seagulls and laughter filled the air as families around us enjoyed their own beach adventures.

In the afternoon, my dad and I decided to go for a swim out to a nearby rocky island. The water was deeper there, and I had to swim harder to reach it. We climbed onto the rocks and explored the small island, discovering crabs and other sea creatures. It was an adventurous and thrilling experience.

As the day came to an end, we packed up our belongings and headed back to the car. I looked back at the beach, feeling grateful for the wonderful day we had spent together as a family. The beach had brought us joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

On the drive back home, I felt a sense of contentment. The beach had given me a break from my daily routine and allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature. It reminded me of the importance of taking time off to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures.

This trip to the beach will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was a day filled with happiness, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature. I can't wait for our next beach adventure.

　　Today I was a little master of my home.

　　At first, I was very happy. I felt very relaxed. After a while, it was lunch time. Family members felt hungry, I went to the market to buy some food. I just can cook spinach. So I tried to find spinaches. I asked and asked. After a while, I bought something green to home but it wasn’t spinach, it was celery. In my family nobody likes celery. Luckily, I had a little money. It was enough to have lunch outside.

　　I felt relax when a got home. I decided to have a good rest. But my mother made me do a lot of housework……

　　I was crazy about taking a nap after a day work. And I know a lot about my mum now. She is very busy.

　　I,antern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns.

　　On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up.

　　On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy.

　　Our life is rich and varied.

　　This evening I went to the KTV with some of my good friends.

　　This was the first time that I had been to a KTV. At first I didnt want to go. I had been in a bad mood the whole afternoon because I didnt do well in the math exam. At the KTV, everybody sang his favourite songs very happily except me. I was the only one of the audience.

　　I didnt dare to have a try. Because I was afraid that I couldnt sing well. Encouraged by my classmates, I picked up the microphone and sang an English song "I believe I can fly"

　　I have become cheerful now and above all Ive regained selfconfidence. I believe that the worst enemy in ones life is oneself. I shouldnt lose heart just because of one or two failures. Because I still have chances to try.

　　My Favourite detective

　　In the world of detective novels, Sherlock Holmes is undoubtedly the most famous one. But for me, the greatest detective in novels is Hercule Poirot, a little Belgian who always uses his little grey cells to find the truth.

　　I really appreciate him for various reasons, such as his having an insight into other people's psychology, his understanding on hunman nature and his being merciful. But most improtant thing is that he looks more like a real human being, compared with Holmes or other legend detectives. He has such a funny appearance, an egg-shaped head and exaggerated moustache . He enjoys delicious cuisine and focuses on his own dressing. He is always humor and likes to mock himself. he prefers to stay with young peole for being attracted by their vigor and energy. And there are still so many lovely features of him I can list.

　　Anyway, I like him and appreciate him. I always get touched by the philosophy of life in his storys. Hercule Poirot is indeed my favourite detective.
